Domestic abuse

Domestic abuse can include:

  • Physical violence
  • Verbal threats and put downs
  • Psychological and emotional abuse, such as isolation from loved ones or humiliation
  • Sexual violence, such as rape
  • Financial control, such as withholding money

How to get help

The Live Fear Free Helpline provides a 24 hour, bilingual information signposting service, to help and guide people with experience of domestic abuse or sexual violence, who are in need of access to services such as advice, emergency support, safety, and knowledge of their rights and options.

Welsh Women’s Aid (WWA)
