Affordable housing schemes
If you are finding it difficult to buy or rent accommodation, there are affordable home ownership and rental schemes available that can help.
Shared equity
With this scheme you would buy an amount of equity in a property through a mortgage, with the remaining amount held by a housing association. When the property is sold, the housing association would receive their share of the value in the property.

Shared ownership

This scheme offers the opportunity to rent a property at Local Housing Allowance rates which is less than the rent you would expect to pay for a similar home in a similar area from a private landlord.
