The apprenticeship scheme is a great way to earn money while achieving a national qualification and gaining valuable work experience. Our apprenticeships also help you develop your prospects within local government.

Corporate Apprenticeship

On the Corporate Apprenticeship, each apprentice rotates to different departments within the council and is expected to achieve at least an NVQ/QCF level 2 in Business Administration.

Other Apprenticeships

We also recruit a range of other Apprenticeships throughout the year which include ICT, Catering, Youth, Social Media, Building Trades, Welding & Fabrication, and Engineering amongst others. These apprentices remain in one department / service, learning a particular skill area and gain valuable work experience, training and support to achieving an NVQ/QCF level 2 or 3.
