Who can use the computers?
Library members can use the computers. If you are not a member of the library, you can join quickly and for free online.
If you are under the age of 11, you will need to be accompanied by an adult. If you are aged between 11 and 14 you will need permission from a parent or carer. The staff at the library will be able to give you a form for your parent or carer to sign.
You can use the computers to browse the internet and send emails, as well as creating word documents and spreadsheets.
How long can I use the computers for?
You can use the computers for one hour at a time. If there are computers available, your session can be extended. At busy times, such as after school, sessions may be restricted to 30 minutes. This is to make sure that everyone has a fair chance to use the computers. The computers will automatically switch off 15 minutes before the library closes.
You can book a computer up to one week in advance. You can book for an hour at a time. To book, telephone your local library. You will be asked for your membership number, so make sure you have your library card to hand.
