If you are a member of the library, you can download digital versions of books, audiobooks, comics and magazines.  Click on the headings below to find out more.

E-books

E-books are electronic versions of printed books. You can download them and read them on a tablet computer, an e-book reader, a PC, and on most smart phones.

Not all books are available in e-book format, but the number is increasing all the time, so please check the download sites frequently for new titles.

How do I download an e-book?

Borrowbox

You can borrow up to 10 e-books (and 10 e-audiobooks) at a time, for 21 days.

The best way to read your e-book is to download the free Borrowbox app for your mobile or tablet from the iTunes Appstore or Google Play store – and you can read on the go! You’ll need your library card number to create your account. If you’re not already a member you can join quickly and easily online.

E-audiobooks

E-audiobooks are audio books you can download and listen to on your PC, Mac or a range of portable devices.

How do I download an e-audiobook?

You can use two different websites to search for and download e-books:

Borrowbox

RBdigital

You will need to register and create an account using your library card details. You will also need to download the app to your device. You can borrow e-audiobooks for up to three weeks at a time, and you can return them early or renew them if you need to.

E-magazines

Read magazines for free on a pc, smartphone or tablet. There are over 260 popular titles to choose from, including current issues and back copies. There are unlimited checkouts and no time limit on how long you have them.

To read e-magazines offline you will need to download the free RBdigital app to your device.

Step 1

Download the RBDigital app to your mobile device.

Step 2

Tap the “Register now” link on the app’s main page to create your account in just a few easy steps:

    1. Choose your country
    2. Choose  Denbighshire
    3. Enter the requested library card details, create a memorable username and password.

Once registered, you will be automatically logged in and can enjoy the content.

Step 3

Choose your magazine.

You can browse through the magazines, or click on the magnifying glass to search for a particular title, genre or language.

When you find a title you want click on Checkout, then Read, and the magazine will download to your device. Please note that by default the title will only download over wifi. You can change this in Settings.

If you are using a pc go to the RBDigital web page  and click on 'Register' in the top-right corner, and complete the short form (your username must not include spaces). You are now logged in and can search for and read magazines instantly online. Please note you cannot download magazines for offline use on a pc.

E-comics

Read comics and graphic novels for free on a pc, smartphone or tablet. There are over 800 issues to choose from, with a 30 day loan period and automatic returns.

To read comics and graphic novels offline you will need to download the free RBdigital app to your device.
