Councils fund emergency service for Upper Dyserth

Denbighshire County Council is introducing an emergency timetable for bus users in Upper Dyserth, following Arriva’s decision to withdraw the service in that part of the village.

The Council and Dyserth Community Council have provided funding for a three month temporary service  that will operate Monday to Saturday (except bank holidays). It will be operated by Coastline Taxis.

The service will operate from Waterfall Road/ Rhodfa Gofer to Waterfall Road, Maes Esgob crossroads and Trecastell Lane.

The County Council is aware of the issue of getting buses through Dyserth High Street. Like many urban locations, Dyserth experiences congestion at peak times owing to the width of the High Street being restricted in places by parked vehicles. Officers are currently investigating options to try and improve the road width through the village, although such considerations will have to be balanced against the need to provide parking for local shops.
