A ceremony was held at County Hall, Ruthin to officially mark Armed Forces Day and National Reserves Day.
The armed forces flag was raised during the ceremony by the Chairman of Denbighshire, Councillor Pete Prendergast and the other flag raised by a member of the Reservists.
Councillor Prendergast said: “This is a nationwide celebration to allow the whole nation to show its appreciation for the contribution made by all those who serve or have served in Her Majesty’s Armed Forces, as well as members of the Reserve Forces who also serve as part of the military.
“They often put themselves in dangerous situations to try and secure the safety and well-being of others around the world. Their commitment and dedication is to be applauded.
The ceremony comes only days after the successful regional Armed Forces Day event was held in Caernarfon. This event is supported by Denbighshire County Council and all other authorities in North Wales.
