Snow in Denbighshire - Update - 6.30pm 4/3/2018

Roads:  The Horseshoe Pass remains closed, but the Council expects to re-open the road on Monday. Also, due to significantdamage to safety fencing on Gwaenysgor Hill in Prestatyn, the  Council needs to keep that road closed for safety reasons.  An update as to when the road will be open again will be given as soon as it is available.

Some minor rural routes remain blocked, and extreme caution will need to be taken when driving on any rural roads over the next few days.  The issue from now on will be snow cleared onto the side of the roads collapsing back onto the roads as it thaws, and ice.  People are advised to drive extra carefully over the next few days due to icy conditions.

Waste: Waste not collected at the end of last week will be collected in the next couple of days. Collections due on Monday are expected to go-ahead as normal.

School transport:  School transport is expected to run on Monday, but contractors will be asked to carry out their own safety assessments in the morning

Any changes to this position will be updated on social media and the website.
