Denbighshire County Council's Street Lighting team is delighted to have been shortlisted for a coveted public services award, which it has won for the past nine years.
The Association of Public Services Excellence has announced its shortlisted nominations in this year’s Performance Networks awards, with the winners being announced at a ceremony in Blackpool on 7 December.
Denbighshire is up for best performer in the Street Lighting section, up against Angus Council, Dumfries & Galloway Council, Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council, Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council , Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council , West Dunbartonshire Council and Wigan Metropolitan Borough Council.
Councillor Brian Jones, Cabinet Lead Member for Highways, Planning and Sustainable Transport, said: “Being shortlisted for the tenth year in a row is a fantastic achievement and shows that the service is classed as being a sector leader in the whole of the UK. It is recognised for the quality and professionalism of its work
“Fingers crossed that Denbighshire comes back with the award on December 7th”.
