Arts Award for Denbighshire Criw Celf Members

Five students from Denbighshire have received their Bronze Arts Awards, after taking part in the Criw Celf programme of activity for More Able and Talented young artists.

Criw Celf offers specialist training programme for children who are more able and talented in the visual arts.  The programme of special art masterclasses, with professional artists, offers its members opportunities to:

  • Have access to high quality and in-depth additional art education
  • Foster and develop skills and understanding of visual art and craft
  • Learn about careers in the arts sector
  • Collaborate with artist to develop their potential and ability
  • Exhibit their work in a professional art gallery

The Bronze Arts Award was undertaken as an extra by some members of the year 9 group and is a qualification offered by Trinity College London.  The Award inspires young people to grow their arts and leadership talents.

 

Those receiving the awards are: Agnes Carter (Ysgol Glan Clwyd), as well as  Ceri Mellor,  Caitlin O’Garra, Megan Roberts and Ollie Roberts-Evans from Ysgol Brynhyfryd.
