Denbighshire County Council is informing motorists using the A541 between Bodfari and Afonwen of a road closure for three days from October 17, to allow essential surface water drainage improvement works to take place.
The works are being undertaken to resolve significant flooding of the carriageway during periods of sustained rainfall and to improve the safety of motorists.
The A541 between Bodfari and Afonwen will be closed from Tuesday 17th October 2017 for up to three days. A diversion route will be in place and signposted, with access to properties maintained throughout the duration of the works. Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from Friday 20th October for up to 1 week.
For motorists travelling from the Mold direction, the diversion will be via Caerwys, A55 westbound, Trefnant and Bodfari.
Motorists from Denbigh will be re-directed through Trefnant, St Asaph, A55 eastbound and Caerwys.
Denbighshire County Council apologises for the delay and disruption that may be caused as a consequence of this essential maintenance work.
