Dog control in Denbighshire is changing with the launch of the new county-wide Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) that could result in irresponsible dog walkers being fined if they fail to comply with the order.
Following a consultation with the public earlier in the year, Denbighshire County Council Planning and Public Protection is launching the PSPO with an information event in Cae Ddol Park Ruthin, on Wednesday 20th September and Saturday 23rd September between 10am to 4pm.
The order is designed to deal with long standing issues concerning irresponsible dog owners and will not impact on the majority of responsible dog owners.
Members of the public are welcome to come along to see officers and find out more about the PSPO, how it will be enforced throughout the county and find out more about the various sections of the order.
Cae Ddol has been chosen as the site of the launch as it is an area where many aspects of the order will apply, however the PSPO is county-wide. Notes of guidance explaining all aspects of the order can be found on the DCC website.
