About Rhyl Harbour
Rhyl Harbour, based on the North Wales Coast has undergone a dramatic refurbishment which has hugely improved the facilities on offer. A boat park offering boat storage and Park and Launch facilities has been built, together with a new launching slipway, pontoons and a quay wall. The harbour offers a range of fore and aft moorings and pontoon berths.
The spectacular Pont y Ddraig Pedestrian / cycle bridge is well worth a view. Opened in October 2013, the bridge closes the gap on National Cycle Network Route 5, which runs along the North Wales coast line. This route provides traffic free access to the ‘Wales Coastal Path’ as well as to the new harbour facilities. The bridge opens to allow boats in and out of the harbour, and is operated from the harbour office within the new quayside building. Why not take a ride over the new bridge to see all the facilities on offer, have your bike serviced at the Bike Hub or take a rest the Hub Café.

If you’re looking to store your boat for the winter or longer to carry out repairs, the Harbour Boat Park offers dry births to lay up and recovery of your boat using our 12 Ton Sublift Boat Hoist. We also offer lay –up without trailers, shoring/ chocking and boat movement. Our boat park staff can carry out pressure washing by appointment, which costs £5 per metre.
As an alternative to boat storage you may be interested in a mooring. The moorings at Rhyl Harbour are very popular and there is currently a waiting list. If you would like to be added to the list contact us at the Harbour office on 01824 708 400 and we’ll add you. You will need to pay mooring fees and harbour dues.
Perhaps you’re visiting a float and want to use Rhyl Harbour to moor up and stay for a couple of days. Just outside the harbour we have a pontoon with power and water for visiting yachts and other vessels. Call us up on channel 14 on your approach or contact us on 07920203851.
If you’re looking to launch your own vessel, Rhyl Harbour can offer a number of services including self launch, park and launch and tractor launch and recovery. You’ll need to register with us and be insured. Registration can take place ‘on the spot’ if you bring along your details. The slipway is 65 metres in length, 8.5 metres wide and has a 1 in 10 slope.
