The rural team helps communities to engage with their youth. The team works locally to make positive changes for young people and set-up opportunities that are led by the community.
The team works throughout the rural areas of Denbighshire to develop opportunities for young people tailor-made for each community.
Using ‘Branwen Y Fan Wen’, our large outreach vehicle, we deliver outreach and detached youth work in rural communities. Our aim is to provide young people with opportunities to experience new things and socialise locally with their peers in a safe environment. We support and empower communities to set up and run youth clubs in their local area and consult with young people on the provision and activities they would enjoy.
This support includes:
- a pop-up youth club
- attending community fun-days
- support with the recruitment and training of local volunteers and young leaders
- providing ongoing support to set up and run a sustainable youth club
