Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC) Statement, Ysgol Trefnant

21 September 2023: Update

Over the past few days, temporary works have progressed at Ysgol Trefnant to ensure that additional roof support is provided for the affected areas to enable the school to reopen safely to pupils. It is envisaged that the school will open to pupils on Monday 25 September.

Additional work will be required to the main school hall area and this area will therefore be closed to pupils and staff until a more permanent support can be provided to this roof area. Arrangements have been put in place to mitigate this disruption.

Council Officers continue to work with the school to monitor progress and have communicated with parents and guardians about the situation. Council Officers would like to thank school staff, parents, and guardians for their patience with this matter.
