FIS training: Fire Safety and Manual Handling Awareness for Staff working in Early Years Settings
This interactive two-and-a-half-hour workshop helps learners with awareness of Fire Safety and precautions and Manual Handling awareness within Early Years settings in line with current legislation, regulations and good practice.
By the end of the workshop learners will be:
- aware of current legislation, regulations and good practice
- able to identify fire hazards within Early Years settings
- able to understand staff roles in fire prevention
- able to understand staff roles and responsibilities in the event of a fire
- able to identify manual handling tasks within the workplace
- able to reduce risks when carrying out manual handling
When and where do courses take place?
This course takes place on Wednesday 28 April, from 6:30pm to 9pm at The Oaktree Centre, Rhyl.

Who can attend?
This course is for all registered childcare providers in Denbighshire who are registered, or are registering, with the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) (external website).
The setting must also be registered with Dewis.Wales (external website)
How to get involved
There is a charge of £15 per person to attend this course and each person who wants to attend will need to complete the online booking request form.
After receiving the booking request we will then send a confirmation email with details of your upcoming training course.
