FIS training: Group B Safeguarding

The Group B Safeguarding qualification is designed for learners who have contact with children, young people or vulnerable adults in their working environment, including voluntary work. It promotes awareness and sensitivity to safeguarding, enabling learners to identify issues and emphasises the responsibility to ensure that concerns are reported and acted on appropriately.

When and where do courses take place?

The Group B Safeguarding training takes place:

  • Tuesday 7 and Wednesday 8 May 2024, 6:15pm to 8:15pm at The Oaktree Centre, Rhyl
  • Saturday 22 June 2024, 9:30am to 1:30pm at The Oaktree Centre, Rhyl
  • Monday 1 and Tuesday 2 July 2024, 6:15pm to 8:15pm at The Oaktree Centre, Rhyl
  • Monday 15 and Tuesday 16 July 2024, 6:15pm to 8:15pm at The Oaktree Centre, Rhyl
  • Monday 16 and Wednesday 18 September 2024, 6:15pm to 8:15pm at The Oaktree Centre, Rhyl
  • Monday 18 and Wednesday 20 November 2024,  9:30am to 1:30pm at Llanfwrog Community Centre, Ruthin
  • Monday 27 and Wednesday 29 January 2025, 6:30pm to 8:30pm at The Oaktree Centre, Rhyl

Who can attend?

This course is for all registered childcare providers in Denbighshire who are registered, or are registering, with the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) (external website).

The setting must also be registered with Dewis.Wales (external website)

How to get involved

Each person who wants to attend will need to complete the online booking request form.

After receiving the booking request we will then send a confirmation email with details of your upcoming training course.
