Find out about the grants and funding available from windfarm projects. There are a number of smaller windfarm funds available across the county, please contact the community development team for further information communitydevelopment@denbighshire.gov.uk.
A fund of £19 million is available from Gwynt y Môr Offshore Wind Farm for communities in coastal areas of Conwy, Denbighshire and Flintshire.
DONG Energy has committed to a Community Fund worth approximately £225,000 each year for the lifetime of the project.
Clocaenog Forest Wind Farm will deliver a community investment fund of up to £768,000 per annum, index linked, which will become available once the wind farm is fully operational.
Brenig Windfarm will deliver a community benefit fund of up to £152,000 per annum, index linked. The fund is to be distributed to local communities and organisations for environmental, socio-economic and educational purposes.
