National Playday

Playday is the national day for play, celebrated each year across the UK on the first Wednesday in August.

The theme for this year’s Playday is 'All to play for – building play opportunities for all children' which aims to highlight that play is for everyone. 

To celebrate this year’s National Playday, our Play Ranger team will be hosting a National Playday event where children and young people can take part in:

  • den building
  • arts and crafts
  • messy play
  • waterslide
  • bouncy castles
  • circus skills
  • forest skills
  • badge making
  • and many more

Date: Wednesday 3 August
Location: Christchurch School playing fields (next to the Oak Tree Centre)
Time: From 11am to 3pm

Who is this event for?

This event is for all children and young people. 

How to get involved

This event is free of charge and you do not need to book a place to attend, children and young people can turn up on the day and take part. 


Parking is available at the Oak Tree Centre car park.
