Denbighshire County Council has announced that Books of Condolence have been opened at a number of the Council’s buildings, to allow members of the public to pay their respects to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, who died yesterday (Thursday, 8 September)
The Books of Condolence can be found in libraries in Denbigh, Llangollen, Prestatyn, Corwen, St Asaph, Rhyl, Rhuddlan and Ruthin. These will be available during normal opening hours, details of which can be found on the libraries' web page.
A Book of Condolence is also available at County Hall, Ruthin (Monday to Friday: 9am-4.30pm)
The Books will be open until 5pm the day after the funeral has taken place.
An electronic version of a Book of Condolence can also be found on the website.
Councillor Arwel Roberts, Chairman of Denbighshire County Council, said: “Whilst the nation mourns the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the Council has put in place arrangements for Books of Condolence to be placed at locations across the county. These will be available for people to sign during normal opening hours of the locations.
“We’re pleased to be able to put these books in place for residents to pay their respects in a formal manner”.
