The result of the by-election held for the Llandrillo Electoral Division on Denbighshire County Council has been announced.

Plaid Cymru candidate Gwyneth Ellis received 179 votes and was elected to office during the poll which was held on Thursday, November 11.

Independent candidate David Robinson received 140 votes while Julian Sampson, Welsh Conservative Party candidate, received 88 votes.

Turnout was 42 per cent and one ballot paper was rejected.
