Final project summary December 2022 to March 2025
The Green Digital project in Denbighshire exceeded expectations by supporting 18 businesses in adopting low or zero carbon energy solutions, surpassing its original target.
Through digital grants and energy-saving measures like LED lighting and battery storage, businesses improved operational efficiency and sustainability. Although training uptake fell slighty below target, 19 individuals received green and digital skills training, contributing to increased awareness of sustainability and digital transformation.
The initiative also delivered economic benefits, including cost savings and enhanced competitiveness, while helping businesses meet public procurement standards. A lasting legacy of the project was established through creation of the Green Digital Academy hub at St Asaph Business Park, set to support 25 more businesses and up to 75 learners.
