Working Denbighshire: Armed Forces Day
Are you a veteran looking for support, advice, new opportunities or simply a chance to connect with others? Join us for Armed Forces Day at the VIBE Station (Rhyl), bringing together veterans and local organisations in one place to offer practical support, information and opportunities.
What to expect:
At our Armed Forces Day, you can expect:
- a range of organisations and support services in one accessible location
- the opportunity to speak directly with organisations about your circumstances
- practical advice and information around housing, benefits, finances, employment and wellbeing
- help to understand what support you may be entitled to
- opportunities to find out about employment and other local services
- activities provided by Barod, including a relaxed Lego-style activity
- food and refreshments
- a welcoming opportunity to meet and connect with other veterans
Support and advice will be available from the following (with more organisations expected to join us):
- Combat Stress
- Help for Heroes
- Poppy Factory
- Citizens Advice
- North Wales Fire and Rescue Service
- Woody’s and Red Cross Navigators
Where possible, we aim to make sure you leave with more than just information. You’ll have the opportunity to speak to the right people, identify your needs and find out what your next step could be.
Who can attend?
Veterans from all branches of the Armed Services are welcome.
When and where does the next jobs fair take place?
Our Armed Forces Day takes place on Wednesday 28 October 2026, from 11am to 2pm at the VIBE Station, Rhyl.
