9 April: Making a difference

Young people will be exploring ways to have a positive impact on their local community.


16 April: Pool competition

Young people to compete in different pool competitions, both Individually and in teams - including ‘killer pool’, winner-stays-on and stopwatch skills.


23 April: Making pizzas

Young people will be making their own healthy pizzas from scratch and competing for the tastiest pizza in the youth club.


30 April: Making bird-feeders

Young people will be making bird feeders to be placed around the area by the youth centre and researching the best food to put in them.

7 May: Batak county competition

Young people from across the county will try to beat the clock to become the Denbighshire Youth Service’s ‘Ultimate Batak Champion’.


14 May: Gardening night

Young people will be planting seeds to grow our own vegetables for use in cooking sessions later in the year.


21 May: Slumber party night

Young people will be celebrating half-term with a ‘slumber party’ in the youth centre. Pampering and relaxing with movies, facemasks and treats.

4 June: Youth camping trip consultation night

Young people will be consulted on all aspects of the Denbighshire Youth Service camping trip. This will include designing the menus, planning activities and working on a playlist of the silent disco.


11 June: Team games in the park

The youth work team will run this session in the local park, where young people will be taken from the centre to take part in team games (weather dependent).


18 June: Confectionery skills

Introducing young people to the delicious world of confectionary with an opportunity to make some tasty treats.


25 June: Outdoor adventure skills night

Introducing young people to navigation, map and compass skills with our Duke of Edinburgh team.

2 July: Treasure quest challenge

Young people will need to become detectives on a treasure trail, working together to solve clues around the local area.


9 July: Rounders in the park

A night playing Rounders in the local park with the youth team.


16 July: Silent disco night

End the term with a bang! Young people will enjoy a silent disco and try out the playlists ready for the Denbighshire Youth Service camp 2024.
