Nantclwyd y Dre offers an intimate and authentic historic house and garden setting that is idea for heritage content, photography, interviews and smaller productions looking for a fresh and unique setting that is both varied and full of character.

Located in the heart of historic Ruthin, Nantclwyd y Dre is one of the oldest timber-framed townhouses in Wales, dating back to 1435. Now a hands-on history museum, it features faithfully recreated rooms from various periods, including medieval, Jacobean, Stuart, Tudor, Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian, and modern.

Behind-the-scenes film crew with a camera and boom mic shooting a period drama scene with actors in historical costumes.

The property also boasts two beautifully maintained gardens: the inner 13th-century walled garden and the outer Lord's Garden, offering stunning views of the surrounding Clwydian mountain range, and Ruthin castle.

Although the house and gardens are Grade I listed, the various interiors have been dressed in the style of the time periods they reflect, featuring primarily replica items and furnishings that can easily be changed to accommodate filming requests.
