Recycling and waste changes: Guides and information

Information and guidance about your new kerbside collections service and recycling containers.

We will deliver your new containers between 23 February and 17 May 2024. Please keep hold of them, but don't use them just yet. You will receive an information pack along with your new containers which will be in the top box. This will explain the changes in more detail, what goes where and how you should present your containers on your collection day.

Introducing the Trolibocs

We will collect your separated dry recycling every week. Find out more about the Trolibocs system.

Non-recyclable waste collections

From June 2024, we will collect your non-recyclable waste every 4 weeks from your 240-litre blue or black wheelie bin (or every week from your black reusable bag / pink sack).

Textiles collections

A new, 4-weekly collections service for your clothes and textiles, provided by our partner Co-Options Social Enterprise.

Small electrical items and household batteries

We will recycle your small electrical items and collect your used household batteries every week.

Absorbent Hygiene Products (AHP) collections service

From June 2024, we're introducing a free, countywide collections service for your absorbent hygiene products, including disposable nappies and other AHPs.
