Workplace recycling is changing

From 6 April 2024, it will become law for all businesses, charities and public sector organisations to sort their waste for recycling.

Events on or near Rhyl and Prestatyn promenade

Due to on-going flood defence work, some events on or near Rhyl and Prestatyn promenade might not be able to take place. If you are planning an event on or near Rhyl or Prestatyn promenade, after notifying us, we may need to contact you to discuss whether it can go ahead. 

Rhyl promenade closures

The promenade between SeaQuarium and the Children’s Outdoor Play Area (opposite John Street) will be closed from February 2023 to October 2025.

The promenade between Pavilion Theatre Car Park and Eisteddfod Standing Stones will be closed from March 2023 to March 2024.

Prestatyn promenade closures

The promenade from the area opposite Garford Road through to the area opposite Green Lanes will be closed:

  • from April 2023 to September 2023
  • from September 2024 to December 2024

Beach access

All beach accesses will be re-routed to the nearest accessible paths.
