Cardboard Recycling Bag Update
We understand residents' concerns about the blue cardboard recycling bags and are reviewing the current arrangements. A report on recycling container options, including the blue bag, will be considered by the Communities Scrutiny Committee in September, with a decision expected from Cabinet later in the autumn.
In the meantime, please continue to use blue bags that are still in good condition. If your bag is damaged, you can order a replacement through the Council website. Residents can also present cardboard in another suitable bag of a similar size, and our crews will collect it. Thank you for continuing to recycle and supporting our collection crews.

Recycling and waste collections
On your scheduled collection day, please make sure your containers are at your collection point by 6:30am. We may collect your containers at any time on your collection day up until 5pm, so please leave your containers out until then.
Missed refuse collections
Please do not report a missed refuse collection until after 5pm on your collection day as our crews may still be out collecting up until this time. Find out more about missed refuse collections.
